hi all. Im new to this forum, and new to music "production". Although, I don't intend to perform or make living from trance, I would like to increase my skills. So, I wanted to ask you if someone could explain mee how ( my favorite trance duo )they did the part from 3:52 .

That's simple:
-Get a saw lead with some detune and reverb;
-Apply some distortion to make it "scream";
-Use the filter with quite some Q (resonance).
The main thin is to play with the filter cutoff -> the most common expression technique in trance. Give it a try!

^ That and add a filter envelope increasing the cutoff with 0 attack and some decay.
It's basically a 303, so you may try some emulation like Phoscyon
