Unless softer means something else to the rest of the world, I'm pretty sure you're after a kick with little or no mid-range. For a normal psykick, the highest freq might be 1khz to 2khz or higher, if you want a very soft kick, try a high frequency of 250-500hz. Filtering a harder kick isn't a very good option, unless you intend to export a copy of the filtered kick and trim some of the resulting space from the front of it, since it will effectively delay the attack of the kick. |
