hey everyone i thinking, how do you make a live set like the big ones like vibe tribe, astrix, electro sun...
how do they make this nice smooth overlapping on each song... ???
know they use ableton live some of them
really hope there is someone who knows 
ps. i know it all its arrange home in they studio but pleas help me i am stuck

first u dload fruity loops or reason and startin readin tutorials in the internet on how to make beats, if u notice u like it very much u can then start to buy equipments like soundcard, midicontrolers, monitors, and then study a little of music or not... but the first step s to pirate some DAW Software and see how it works 
i said reason and fruityloops coz they are very user friendly for begginers...

i know how to create music!!!
and i know a little aboute making live set in ableton live.. i use that for my live gigs. but i really don´t know how they got the nice overlapping in they live set!!! are they use effect?? and witch one??
i know they do something but i really don´t know what!!!
thats why i ask in here but hate that someone write so stupid back!!!
but hope someone could help me

they probably preprogram all the transitions in ableton by eqing/ cutting their premastered tracks and hitting space bar to start it all.
All tracks are just lined up in the arrangement section.

hi... i dont know if this thread is kind of joke or a critics because most of them fake their live
i dont blame them really, they have alot of gigs and make a real live act requires the right material conected and seting up midi conections and everything, so as this type of artists travel alot and sometimes the organizers dont give them their right material, they simply have their plane B, and fake their live... they get paid same time, as most of people really dont care if its recorded or if its mixed, people pay to listen them...
anyway... you can use ableton live to mix your tracks, ableton live its pretty simple to mix
you only need to setup everything like a mixer
open 2 audio chanels in ableton...
load the tracks you want,
try to put the tracks at same bpm or closer
mark the first kick of every track with a start marker (why? because like the dj´s do... when they mix, the kick is where you will sicronize the music)
then what you do?
you open an equalizer on each audio track in ableton...
a 3 poles equalizer, with low freq, mid freq, and high freq.
wich you will assign to midi with slides or knobs...
basicly this will emulate a mixer, exacly... the only diference is that when you push start for each track in ableton... the sound will be sicronized automaticly as ableton live was designed for this purpose, if the tracks are same bpm and you mark the first kick... it will work perfectly....
and the best part of using ableton like this, is that you can introduce, seperated parts of other songs, leads, ritmic sequences above the music, because everything will be sicronized in tempo... you just push play and stop for them... and only need to equalize the tracks as a DJ
when the audio from the chanel A is up, and you want to introduce a new track, you mix them... just leave the low and mid frequences down, and enter slowly (just a like a DJ) and then in the break... swing... invert it, you push up every equalize poll for the B chanel and reduce the low and mid from the A... voyla... mix done, perfectly, smootly withou many people even notice....
this is so simple to do... so easy and so solid that i even strange everytime is see lives exposing their pre-sequenced live made at home in cubase or ableton with all the tracks in diagonal view (thats kind of ridiculous... because most of people notice easly but they seem to dont care...)
the only problem about this method i use alot, is that sometimes you cant travel with your midi controler, and if you ask to an organizer one... sometimes you get the wrong model and you will need to re-assign everything (that can take a while... )
besides this, its great, its an amazing way of making a live set, you can inovate and re-order your tracks, its the real essence of ableton live (but i dont see many people using it... at least in psytrance world)

I dont agree, Why mix ure songs when you have u have a million times more possibilities when playing a live set on ure daw.
Very conservative to stay with mixing because thats how it used to be done.
Only you put the limit of what you can do in a live set, with mixing what is the possibillites?, beat mixing/eq with some shitty effects. Playing live in ableton(or other daw), then you can improve and jam with ure music as much as you want, play with triggers, effects ya u name it. id say thats a live act!.

yeah the izraelis are excellent in playn live!!!
I heared 2 weeks ago, Didrapest and Indrapest live… WOW MAN!
He use ableton for live acts!
I learned very much from seeing what he is doing!
So for a real superstarpro live act you need following things:
Ableton in arrangement view
Open one empty track with a veryvery long audiofile
A midi controller (or a knob is also enough)
Start the music and put your hands up in the aiiiiiiiiiiir
