Please help me to be able to make effects which i can use in breaks/ Transitions.
How are they made, sometimes i think if they are played in wav instead of comming directly from an vst synth, because the effects really seems to be in control when it comes to timing etc.
Or can it be that a gate decides when the effects should end ?
Can anyone give me an advice on how i can use gate on effects ?
Best regards |

time-stretch wavs or bounced synth parts if you want, cut + delay always helps (1/8 or 1/4 etc)
Monitoring devices, know where you go
Mass media, total control
Digital delight, desire in megabite
Data overflow, virtual suicide
This information, is disinformation

its just about what you want and your creativity.
some thins that work really well: automated time-stretch, pitch-shift, filters, delays, big reverbs, distortion, etc etc...and that on everything you want. some synthparts that are in your track, or even short parts of whole pop-tracks heavily filtered and effected.
this is just about creativity, and a gate is primary for removing low level noise in the signal while nothing else is playing (from recording drums f.e.) or cutting the release of a synth sound to make it less muddy etc.

Fruity Envelope Controller seems to be good for effect sounds .Played around with Granulizer a bit aswell.I´ve found out that you can use 2 rytmic effects sounds which play against each other. It seems like it works good if the effect sounds are quite similar to each other. But i still have problem to find the right timing with the effects in my songs. In proffesional psy trance songs the effects seems to start and end very fast and tight Im thankful for any ideas and help on how you can achieve better results |

hi again conny
apparently you're using fruity loops, it's actually not so easy to make this kind of breaks in FL. Try to record the whole master track for the parts where you wanna make that break.
This way you have the "dry" audio clip to cut into and be very precise. You can also alternate with other audio samples and the cut master track. |

*you can reverse nearly everything and it sounds great (kick, Crash, Synthnotes...)
also a popular effect in those breaks is to take the Pad of the Intro (if you got one), start it in the break, automate the volume from 0% to 100% and mute at the right point in you break again, it also gives a reversed feeling, and makes the track more intresting + homogen^^
cheers
