Exactly like someone said,put short reverb,and play with predelay.
Predelay is the time you wait till you start hearing the first reflection,its for the "rising" effect on the clap.And the reverb itself to make the clap,well,a bit "longer".

From all the things I lost,that sandwitch cost me most :)

You can also sample a clap with a long reverb and just use an envelope to shape it
