Hey guys been trying to make this sound for a while now, here are two examples.

In this track is starts from the very beginning:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTVQ8pBcHmg

and here from about 2:30

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-YrIaePSmo

My though is that it's a combination of detuned sawtooth with pitch modulation and with filter frequency cutoff modulation but I have not managed to get anything decent sounding as of yet.

5 months - much lag, such wow!

I like to consider dissonant elements when trying to make something aggressive.. so pitch sweeps, distortion, noise - they are all our friends.

Could you show us an example of what you have achieved, so we could give you a hand?

short percusive notes on the sequence , using at least to 3 octaves to acquire a nice motion....

oscilator: sawtooth or square

( optional ) you can turn a second oscilator on and link it to FM first oscilator.. test the octaves

filter: hipass, bypass or no filter but good eq on end

then put LFO or ENVELOPE on pitch from oscilator or filter or both

then modulate and record it specialy filter, lfo speeds etc

then u will usualy want some distortion

and then eq...

this s the base..what u will come from will show ur identity in the music

I have found that layering is really nice way to get a fat and unique type of leads, I saw a master class by protoculture, and he uses a lot of layering in his leads, and works like magic.

Sausage fattener adds a nice bit of grit to a lead.
