How to make a track sound faster?

maybe an empty mixed track can sound's lower.... so if you like this kind of mix, please work a lot on the graves, cause mediuns and highs will be fewer than other frequencies..



many tracks have got an full mix, with a lot of noisy sounds fighting... most of them sound's faster then the clear ones...


even in a few tracks music you can make it sound fast and dancefull... i think the secret is what we call in brazil like "BASE" of the music,


the kick and baterry working together!

Long snares make the track sound a bit slower.
Shorter samples makes it sound faster...
This formula gives the exact clap/snare duration on each tempo:

60/BPM * 1000 = Clap/Snare Duration in ms

For 145 bmps...
(60 : 145 BPM) x 1000 = 414 ms

You can use shorter or longer samples on 145...
but the result might sound unbalanced... or somehow strange!

if you pitch your stuff a bit up it tends to sound faster. also make your perc shorter.
