so in many psytrance songs......i hear it a lot mostly in tryambaka or vibraddict or pretty much anything.......the bass and kick is going and then everything just stops for like a second....and then continues and its all perfectley timed......im trying to do this on fl studio on the pattern maker but the timing is always off......does anyone know of any tutorials or some tips?

After the whole song is mixed and exported, just cut the last beat with fade in and then slight fade out just before next section.
U can drag next section few milliseconds forward or backward to get the swing depending on the fill.

just remove the the bass after the kick (where you want the break).
you should experiment much more. this is very basic.
you also should could duplicate that by just hearing.
pattern 8 is the bass and drums together......now i want to make a break with no sound at all.......where the heck do i put pattern 8?

you remove everything after the kick (HH, Bass, any reverb...)
kick and snare should be the only thing you can hear before this short break. (if you dont wanna hear the snar, also remove it).
dont forget, the there is NO kick missing at any time for this break. you just think there is, because everything else is removed, and this gives you such feeling.
so make a beat (kick, bass, hh, snare) for 8 beats long (kicks). now cut the hh and bass after the 4th kick. this is your break.

its the same most of the time. its just a longer break in this case... do the same thing you did, but one kick earlier, and cut the bass/hh 2 times longer.
then you have a longer break with 1 kick missing.

well, i still dont get the point of this thread... just listen carefully and you can duplicate most things.

indeed ... and "spoken counting" can be very helpfull for such stuff too!
i was more interested how he ends the bassline at this point. lower/higher notes e.g. or using an uplifter ...
i tested a lot around with those breaks and playing around with the bassline to pass into such breaks can be very interesting/important.
some artists often varies the bassline at such breaks.
