How to make a good set?

I want to a be a Trance DJ, I know some friends who could help me perform at some small parties... but i have a problem.. this will be sound like a really stupid question but
I don't really know how to make a set, I mean what tracks I should use in start, what in the middle and what in the end..
I know the differnces between trance styles (full on psy dark...) but then again i'm not sure how to chose my playlist..
any help will be greatful... |

Assuming you have a collection of music, I would try and always build the set up to a peak, like a linear slope... It needs to have some breaks and the crowd wanting more. I would suggest learning beatmatching, looping, and fx control.
When it comes to the playlist, just go with whatever sounds good. https://www.djjeto.com |

The best way is to go with the flow. Set lists are prescriptive and therefore lack the spontaneity of an un planned set. Get to know your tunes and just go for it.
Don't just play the music...Feel the music!!

why not try to make a dj set and record it, and post it in the dj sets section?
maybe in there you can get some critics on how to improve more and more

There are no rules!
Do what you want to do!
Last weekend I played "Vengaboys - Boom boom boom boom!" and it was no remix ... + it was my final track ... while everybody was waiting till the real shit would happen, you know something like a climax ... but it didn't 
I had a great weekend btw

be creative,and use your collection of music
to try to make a story and make one that fits to
the slot u have on the party,
metch the right music to the right ppl et the right time.
and keep on asking questions!!

take a some fresh trax, add some groove while blending them, make sure to add a nice pinch of psychedelics.. shake em good and enjoy the ride
