just wondering how to create the effect of an lfo triggering a sample, so that you can use the lfo rate to increase/decrease the sample playback, it's a fairly common production trick in build ups and break downs. sometimes several elements of the mix are sent through the same effect, such as multiple percussion sounds and synth sounds.
can this be done in Logic using Kontakt? Or is the effect created by a synth that you can load samples into such as Absynth? anyone use this effect and know how to do it? |

can you post an example of what you're talking about?
An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines. |

are you talking about pitch bending or slowing down the speed of playback without changing the key?

I'm talking about slwoing down/speeding up the triggering of a sample (lfo style- if you can imagine an lfo set to square wave and when the wave peaks it triggers a sample) but no change to the pitch.
It sounds like it must be an lfo triggering , and have heard this effect synced to the tempo, at varying beat ratios 1:4 2:4 3:4 etc as the rate is swept. |
