how do i hook up nord rack 2 and logic 8 so that i can write the notes in logic 8 and the sound plays from Nord Rack 2 ... i also have a Roalnd Edirol midi controller and a Novation how do i hoook these up in the same chain ? |

midi and audio isnt the same thing..
lets start with that
now plug your midi IN of the nord to the MIDI OUT of the computer
+
Audio Out of the nord to Audio IN of the computer
route the midi channel... and the input audio.
should work.

thats not how ot works in logic ... need to setup sum things in the enviroment and in the audio midi setup ... |

The default enviroment setting comes with all MIDI connected the way it should. So by plugging the MIDI to your hardware should already work. If it doesn't, then you have either a problem with MIDI in general, or you've messed up in the enviroment.
The audio is simple, you connect the audio to your audio interface and record it the usual way.
Make use of the I/O plugin instrument on the instrument channels for easier connectivity between your gear and Logic.

thanx for the tips Trip ... as u said the default enviroment setting comes with everything mostly sorted out .... all i had to do in the end was reconnect my midi keyboard , get the driver updates and went thru a few tutorial videos of logic and figured out all the objects and stuff in the environment .... now everything is working killer |
