How to get visa?

Hey..I asked my friends, and they have sort of run me throgh procedure but i am still confused. I dont think it should be aproblem bcos i am in England, on a students visa and they are lenient with us, but I dont live in London where embassy is so I want to know what i need before i go to get it..ANy Help would be really appreciated

maybe you should contact embassy to find out? I'm sure they have a phone number listed which you can easily contact them...
And this is russia were talking about, more beuracratic than any other country i've ever been in(including US and UK), so anything you want to do is going to be atleast a minor "problem"

Thanks for the help guys, but sadly it looks like all this red tape shit means I cant get a visa. Apparently, cos im an Indian on a studen visa in the U.K. it makes it impossible to get a visa? Maybe if i apply from India, but i've heard some horror stories about marathons in Moscow airport. Oh Oh.

cheers up Mellon Collie .. i have some problems with visa too .. have nothin to do , its too complicated to be a wellcomed to uk for example .. wish u pass thru any problems ..
ps : russia is nightmare man , not only in airports , anythin here work dont work ) the same terreble way .. d
