hey guys, i am working on this track and would ask for some short advice.. i am not so happy with the bassline, anyone got some hints for me to get a better groove ?
Thanks
try pushing down the frequency of the root note with a notch filter approximately at 100-200hz and add a few db of volume from the instrument . this method can sometimes work good to bring balance

Crazy to hear a production that is like 90% exactly the same as me ... wow lol really glad you've got it i didn't want to tell you beacause finding out for yourself is really a greater gift and all you really need is a filter and some fx the source doesn't really matter as much can be throgh analog and granular synthesis aswell . Good luck bro you did a great job on the track. Finish it and send to mastering . Maybe it will drive you harder if you know you actualy treat it seriously and pay for mastering from a proffesional http://soundcloud.com/magimix-1/chilling-forest-whispers Wierd shit happens :)

Thanks bro!
Well i am happy that i finally found out how to do some FM Sounds on my Nord Rack 2 and use them in my tracks, but on the other hand i am a little depressed because i seem to be stuck once again. It feels like i will never be able to just finish a track.
Everytime when i am half way progressed i start messing around, new kick, new bassline, new lead, and end up having nothing..
Well i think they dont say that it takes years to produce some decent stuff for nothing..
mmm...
