hey guys/girls..
i've a problem that i can't solve by myself..
imagin a situation... where you have a sound EQ'd like with a high-pass at 100hz and a low-pass at 1000 hz, and it's panned 75% to the left side. and now i want to apply a good amount of reverb to it.. but putting the sound that come out from the reverb unit EQ'd with a high-pass at 3500hz and a low-pass at 7000 hz, and panned 75% to the right..
so to have the dry sound in the left a little bit down in frequency...compared to the reverb ONLY sound in the upper freq on the right side..
how can i archive this on Cubase SX ?
ps - hope you guys understand what i mean..
thanks in advanced
and Stay Fresh!

Firstly: I do! I use adidas(tm) ozone layer destroying anti-perspirant.
Secondly: try this:
pan your sound as per usual BUT create a pre-fader send (i assume you know how to do this)going to a newly created group track, make the volume of this send O...now add a reverb as insert to the group track and pan that the opposite way.
tada!
hope you understand what I mean! www.myspace.com/beat_nik |

for sure!
Alright: somewhere at the bottom of your screen you'll have all the vst instrument as tracks
e.g. if you put a midi track with albino2 as vsti you'll have the midi track for notation, then further down you'll have
"Vst Instruments" - "Albino2 1" - and two tracks below saying
"R W Albino 2"
and
"M S Albino 2"
The track saying M S is the audio out of the instrument and has all the same options as an audio track.
on the left where the headings "inserts, equalisers" etc. are, there is (furthest up) a small "e" next to the instrument name
Click it
and the Channel Settings should come up:
once this window is up, look at the sends on the right called S1, S2 etc.
(I'm presuming you've created a group track called "group one") and click in the S1 box (or the first box which is empty) and choose "group 1"
Now above that box should be three buttons:
on/off, a middle button, (looks like a cross next to a square) and an unuseable "e"
click the middle button (the pre fader) and it should change colour:
now where you'd normally adjust the amount of a send FX, you adjust the volume of the pre-fader send... set that to 0
now you have a midi instrument pre-fader send into a group track
keep fresh with anti-perspirant my brother! www.myspace.com/beat_nik |

what i would do is to open another audio channel and record the 100% wet reverb into it.
that way you can edit, Eq, pan your reverb alone.
also you gain more control on the dry/wet mix.

Surely you still have dry/wet control with an insert on a group track... you can pan eq, edit a group track as well + with the group track if the notation for the lead changes it will still have the same effect
For some extreme editing you can route another audio track with 100% wet reverb into the group channel and do mad panning, eq'ing gating delays etc hehe
*ping* lightbulb flash!
