Hi billy. . .
In my opinion first you have to guide percussion and beat instruments for the same bus, after this you guide the leads for other bus, after this fx for other bus. . .etc...etc...(create a family of peaces, like rithms family, ambients family, leads family, etc etc)
After this you go to eq and compress the buses familys that you create.
Like this. . .for rithms family in bus 1, you compress and eq,for leads family bus 2 you eq and compress too. . .
After this you have rithms in "one part", ambs in other part, leads in other part, etc...etc.
And in the end you go to the master, and compress all the familys, and then this is going to sound all parts in one!
Sorry the bad english
But hope this help you a bit.
