Hey!
Im trying to make "vibrating" dub bass.
This is how my bass sound right now:
I want it to get little bit more vibration like in this one for example(listen to it around 01:30):
Mine is much more softer, androcells is vibrating. Is it some kind of distortion or what should i do to get my bass a little bit more "vibrating"?
Hope you understand what im asking for.
Cheers!

Yes I think vipal is right-
that are notes for the subbass.

Try working the envelopes, dual osc it seems, and hmm thats about it... As to what to do with them maybe add very slight pitch bend to the front end that's really short, to give the thumpy kick drum sound. Then let that play into what seems to be two possible sines one detuned and processed together through a distortion/comp (super subtle). What really gives that oscillating feel is the two sines played one oct. apart with the sine in the higher oct. detuned slightly to make them rub each other. Add a bit of release to get the env. to allow them rub a little more. Don't need much filter other than for env shaping and eq to taste. This is one approach at least, I hope this might help you out.
Cheers!

From looking at the waveform it looks like a wave that's being amplitude modulated by another wave with half the frequency

...or frequency modulated
I was just able to get a very similar sound in operator with pretty simple settings.
Oscillator A set to sine, oscillator B set to frequency 1/2 and level -20 dB with the default algorithm.

not really sure what you mean by "frequency 1/2 and level -20 dB with the default algorithm", could you please explain abit more? thanks!
for example trillian has fm, but you can set frequence in between 0 - 1000, what is 1/2 then? 500? it does sound similar when i set the frequency to around 220, not sure about what u mean by -20 with the default algoritm though

I don't know what trillian's FM does and their manual isn't available online so I can't tell you.

should it be a total of 3 or 2 oscs? u say 2 on the same octave(the low octave) and one one higher octave. i think one with higher octave gave alot of nice colour to the bass.

two osc but one in the higher octave and one in the lower. Detune the osc in the higher octave. You can also swap the top sine out for a tri. for some added spectrum... Hope this helps you get a little more out of it
And for that sort of hollow sound, tweak the release of the amp envelope.
