Don't know what you've done there, but medium low on the channel should be medium-low on the main out ... !

More info would be useful here I think ... how have you set things up?

In answer to your question, the only way to phase shift something back if you've say set up a HP to high is to remove the filter and start again - but don't fuck up this time

There are such things as phase shifters out there ... but I've never gotten good results out of them - maybe your mileage will vary though.

Only if they're made by Waves

More seriously ... Schope is pretty decent ... if it says there is a DC component in a signal or just very low frequenct one I believe it.

Just like when I put a HP on the signal and it told me that I'd removed the bit of the spectrum I thought I'd taken out I also believed it.

Either they make psychic plugins these days or I'm right

you guys have problems lol, if noobs reading this they think highpassing the bass will make it really fat instead of focusing
on tweaking a nice bass lol           www.soundcloud.com/orgytime

Does anybody here route the kick and bass to one grouptrack and process it there? And what kind of processing do you do?           soundcloud.com/supergroover

break and intro-effects only, mainly highpass, lowpass, pan and heavy clip-distortion.            http://soundcloud.com/li-fe

I said I like it dirty, not muddy.

Attention to detail is everything.

First is tweaking a nice patch no doubt.

I don't think anyone has tried to say otherwise.

A technical question came up which deserved a technical explanation.

No matter how good it is out of the synth, there are steps that can be taken to polish it. There is no such thing as perfect.

I do some light compression to get them even in volume and meld their character together a bit, nothing else though           --

@ speaka

no offending mate just was a reminder that the biggest
part is the synth tweaking... when your bass dont sounds
good with synth only, it wont sound good later imo

Download FerricTDS, put it on your kick/bass group and blast the dynamics/saturation knobs. Sounds freakin awesome.            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe
