Hello.
Im a logic 5.5 (PC) user and i would really be thankfull if anybody could help me out here.
I wanna know how to reproduce the gater effect that u have on cubase sx. Which there is none on logic (or there is and i dont know).
I want to make cuts on melodies like if i have an extended note like "TAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"
i want it to sound like "TA TA A A A AAAAA A A AAAAA A A" (like it was cut).
Logic automation is pretty different then the automation on cubase or fruty, so if u tell me to cut the volume on the automation thats not a good option becuase its a god damn pain in the ass slave job to do it this way.
Also if u tell me to export to wav and cut the wav into pieces in many cases doesnt sound good.
U can also tell me to use "ctrl+5" and make the volume automation on this screen(cause this way the automation is made more like fruty style) , but that doesnt work as good.
So if anybody knows a plugin, or a better way to make this please tell me how.

it comes with cubase sx
 Some girl called me at 6pm she told me come to my place at 8pm I have nobody at home...
I came at 8pm and there was no one at home |

Try editing/cutting/mutting the wav file. If the sample is "beatmatched" I thikn u will get what u want.

the plugin called 'noise gate'
and of course logic has it.
just put a side chanel channel through it, like empty exs24 sine wave signal, and play whatever u want. When the audio is present in the side chain, noise gate will let it play.
PS: this issue was discussed in various threads before.

I told from the beggining i need it for LOGIC, on cubase of course there is midi gate, i wrote that on my message. Thanks anyway.

trip, sorry i started a topic that already been here before, but i used search and didnt find any msg of explanation.
yeah thats true, logic has noise gate (duh?!)
ok i will check on that
thanks for everyone that replyed so far, even, those that said stuff i wrote from the beggining. If anybody else wants to add a better explanation than trip, or something different please do it !!
