Hello fellas.
I'm trying to do an vocal effect that i have seen quite a bit, and it sounds preety cool.
Like the vocal in this Perfect Stranger vs Ace Ventura track, called Perfect Ace.
here is the link:
around the time, 4:17
The woman vocal gets kind of phased, like repetitive, i can't explain it. protoculture uses that a lot. also i Dino Psaras - Voice, there som of this technique.
Does anybody knows how to do it?
step-by step?
thanksss

I guess it is a trancegate. You can use CamelSpace, dbGlitch, dfx Skidder or others to get that effect.

yes indeed that was made with a simple Midi gate written over a choir chant sample. simple and effective...Camelspace has some nice pre made presets for this, but lately i have been making gates with the last DBU Glitch which is freaking awesome for this,it let's u automate the length, time signature and many other parameters of the Gate effect.           http://www.facebook.com/pages/Ace-Ventura/6139679270
