I have that 16 bars peak now in my track...
and at the end of it just when the sweep gets as high as it can - I want to have all the tracks muted for 1/8 and to hear only my sweep.
What is the best way to do that?

maybe put some "mute plugin" on master channel, unroute the channel of the sweep from the master and automate the mute plugin to be active only in the part you want the silence...
in fl i think there's something like "fruity mute"...can't look at the moment sorry... |

That or group all other fx channels except your sweep to an empty mixer channel and just automate the volume there.
Cheers!

I think the best is to bounce the parts.
If u automate only the volume, and if u have sends fx´s on those parts to be cutted, u will end up with wet fx´s also(not mutted).
If u automate the send fx´s, u will need to be sure that the sweep uses others sends, or u will turn off sends for sweep also. U can also automate the individual send amount, but it could be very annoying...
I have this problem when I want the complete silence at the last beat of the compass. And as this part has all basic elements(like kick/bass,drums) I don´t like to bounce. So I need to automate the volume of individual + automate sends. Automating master volume, at least for me, causes clicks.
