hi,
i'm using Reason 1 so this question is for v1. How exactly do i create a "trigger" in Reason?
For instance, say, i want to change the waveform of a Subtractor, and if i use the Record feature what happens is that the change lasts only over the loop that i record. But supposing, i want to change something that has to remain like that, how should i go about it?
Of course, one way is to move the "End of Trigger" to till the end of the track, but still its pretty messy because if i try to move the END TRIGGER, it moves only Bar-by-Bar.
Please help!!!

does it also move bar-by-bar if you change the quantize value ? |

I ask because the 'end of trigger' could move in quantize-increments, in your case it could be that quantize is set to a single note: a bar. If you lower the quantize value, you might be able to move the 'end of trigger' more precisely. I'm not sure, it's just one of my far-fetched theories, but it could work. |

Once you record a change like a waveform control, this parameter is automated. That means that any change from now on to the parameter has to be recorded\written. The length of each change you write is dependent on the snap value (the pop up left to the hand tool).
If you don't want to automate that control, go to the automation view and delete all the automation. |

Boobytrip: ok, i'll check your theory...but my problem is i probably want to move "end of trigger" 16 bars or so or maybe even till the end of the song.
Hayez: where is this "Snap value". Are you sure this is present in Reason 1? |

I'm pretty sure it's in Reason 1.0
As I said, that's the pop up left to the hand tool and right to the quantize.
It's not clear what's "end of trigger" means, please explain in more details. |

ok update...i've decided to make a loop of 1 bar & copy that across to maintain the change that i want in my device...
