How to creat radio switching seeking effect/sample

Hello
I wonder how to sample or create that stuff of seeking sth on radio sample.i mean that you hear the wheel when frequencies arise and some clean secs and than switching/tweaking down like you would look on .I hope its understandable my baad english hopt found the right terms what Im looking for.I mean if old radios would be midi or sth to pc that would be no prob but I have only pc radio at the mom hehe.In many intros from many genres ambient,7oth stuff some spirited aso there are some examples.It would be very kind if you could help mi.Peace
ps for instance in xenomorphs qlippoth there is such a mom even though only 2 secs in that tune I think.Or some future sound of london tunes contain such components or faust (70th psyccedelci rock) have such tings.if there is a sense in the clear parts like a message maybe refering to the theme of your tune,if there is a sorta theme,than i would like it.Thanks in advance |

Thank you very much for that fast reply.White noise ..wow..thats an idea but I guess it still would be missing some particular radiotransistor sound like if you turnin tha wheel if you know what I mean  but its a matter of more knowledge or more expirience to me for sure.Thanks for helpful links (the first one somehow dont work here but the last looks intersting... and stuff.

i would connect radio to pc and record
then you can paste any content ("stations") using crossfade between your samples and radio noise
if you are not satisfied with what real station broadcast.
