Hi folks!
I got my first synth which is a creamware Pro-12 asb, but I can't connect it to cubase. I mean I connected it through usb, and the audio output to the audio input of my sound card but I can't hear anything in cubase(I see signal coming in the channel but not in master channel). Do I need to tell cubase that is receiving and input from outside?I did check the device panel though...if I connect it to the mixer no problem..it sounds amazing..
any ideas?
cheers

make sure the impedances of your audio interface match the synths output, and make sure you didn't screw up the routing matrix of your soundcard's mixer.
(this is usually the case - muted channels or bad routing )

next to the record enable on the audio channel should be a little yellow button with a speaker on it called the monitor switch, press that in..           [[[G|L|I|T|C|H]]]

got another problem....the signal coming in is too low..is this mean that the impedance of the synth is different from the one of the audio in of my sound card?

What is too low? If you are recording at 24 bits (highly recommended) you can safely record quite low.

Undertow,
I don't know wheter this is normal but the signal going from my synth to the input of my soudcard sounds too low(sometimes it doesn't reach -20,-15dbFs)
I thought it was an impedance problem, it could have been that the cable was balanced(it has a greater impedance) but I am using unbalanced cables
you mean recording the synth at 24 bit?because my sound card convetrs it at 24bit?
cheers

Someone told me to buy preamp for synth for that problem..
But I just gain the signal after recording or use drive or compressor on synth and asure that all oscillators used are set to max volume..           http://www.myspace.com/djacidkills
