How do you know if Logic "recognise the synth" ?

yes well try to connect audio cable as well ?
midi is just computer messege and not sound!
then configure your channel input etc.

ok for sending midi to your microkorg, you need to go to the environment layer "instruments"...there you create a new instrument, select the midi channel connected to your korg and connect that instrument to this numpad thingy...then it should be available in the arrange and working well with midi notes and controller data...its also possible to record controller movements from your korg then...

but with controlling vst plugs I cant help you much since I dont use it           https://soundcloud.com/hazak

As an initital setup for Logic, you don't have to do anything in the enviroment. The midi is sent to the Instrument chanel selected.

If Midi channel send/receive is working, then you can easily control Instruments, and play them on the keyboard.
