I did not say people should not try to re-create sounds that everyone and their dogs have been making.
I'm all for learning at making any kind of sound, as old as it is, been done to death, etc...you gotta start somewhere anyway and it is good practice to put into more hours into programming...I just expressed my feelings about this sound.
Peace out.

Aciduss, you've been extremely helpful. Thanks dude. I figured it was something close to that, but I couldn't quite figure it out. Tried what you suggested, and I've gotten some interesting results. And learned a lot doing it, which is cool. |

something about recreating sound, it will probably take you more time than making something that sound as good ,not talking about this lead or other classic one but for some complex sounds it really don t worht it ,sometimes i tried it and it s just loosing time ,some synths have so much routing and modulation .
imo learn the classic sound it s helpfull to learn technics and get more synthesis skills but don t focus too much on this cause some sound you will never been able to make them if you don t use exaclty the same synth and the same processing/fx chain |

Sure. I don't disagree with you. It's probably impossible to exactly replicate any specific sound from someone else's track, without knowing exactly how they did it. Which, for me, is not really the point. I find the absurdist exercise of trying to do exactly that actually very liberating and instructional. If that makes sense.
This exercise in replicating other sounds has really been helpful for the last few years. I like to think I'm getting a pretty good grip on how to get specific sounds that I'm hearing in my head. Which is a far cry from where I was at 3 or 4 years ago, when most of my sound design was more accidental and exploratory.
In other words, I find this kind of thing very helpful and worth doing. Others who already know how to get various sounds (or close to it) may not, of course. |

Nice try, what did u use?... there is something wrong with rythm in your track tho, it feels skipped or not exactly on step if u know what i mean. |
