How record dvd sound via Power DVD and Emu1820?

hello there!!I have Emu1820 soundcard and i wanna records a dvd's sound with wavelab 4(cause 5 is not compatible with this card).How can do this,...i tryied it but allways it sais that i need smthng... sync.and smthng with my bit.Cant understand...someone who knows???

Don't know about wavelab but the easiest way for me is to use a small utility called dvd audio ripper .
Just run it and choose the chapters you want to ripfrom the movie.very easy - look it up on the net , cheers !

i have an emu 1616m for my live sets....i think you have to route it thorugh the patchmix just make sure the host asio is routed to the host asio output and not hradware output...then you can record. correct me if im wrong. |

one way is to hook up a audio-cable from soundcards input to the mixer and send the signal through the mixer and record it...
also if you use Rme, im pretty sure you can route this internally and record the signal. but im not sure(depends on which card)... but if their uber dsp mixer cant do that, then im not so impressed
age of panics way is also a good option, maybe even the best..
manitari - dosent the emu card have the same as creative cards, like Record "what you hear" is a option that records everything thats being played... if im not remembering wrong..
