all sounds are possible

sound 1 is a simple lead sound, you just need to generate the waveform which will sound like this one. try feedling with Frequency modulating 2 waveforms of your favourite synth till you get a crunchy sound like that one. use overdrive, heavy compression or multiband distortion to get that metalized guitar feel.

sound 2 is a single and heavily band-passed saw oscilator. a fixed small chorus effect on top to multiply the oscilator and give that pseudo-stereo effect. use minimal reverb (only the early reflections) and a bit of 3/4 delay. dont forget that the sequencing plays a big role and notice that this preset has a noticable portamento to jump from one note to another. the last EQ of the chain must be, once again, a bandpass or high pass because even after the chorus and reverb, no low frequencies are audible. if the sound is not so crispy try boosting the high frequencies with an eq and hard compress then. or just apply a little bit of distortion on the high freqs (with a multiband dist) and then of course smooth out a bit the highs with EQ.

sound 3 is sound 2 at a higher octave i think.           http://triplex.trance.net

hmm.,., triplex,

these sounds are not as simple as you describe.,

first one is almost definitely a synced noise oscilator.,
cant get that kind of sound with anything else i know of.,
if you ever hear the synced noise osc you will certainly recognize it

second and third one are almost the same (same idea behind it)

you can almost get it by using a hi-pass filter on a low saw wave.,

but i think this typical sound can be best created if you modulate the amplitude of an osc in such a way that it will play one (or a few) cycle of it's wave every once in a while.,
the space between these 'blips' makes the pitch of the tone.,
the frequency of the blip itself is irrelevant., it adds to the harmonics but not to the perceived pitch.,

using a hi-pass filt on a saw wave has a similar effect.
you take away the lowest harmonic., this removes the lowest wave that 'connects' the hi frequency waves.,
but the energy of the sound (and also harmonic relations) change when you change the filter or the pitch of the osc.,.,
so the 'color' of the sound is depending on it's pitch.,

btw, a signal like this (small grains of sound with regular spaces in between) is called a pulse train i think.,
it sounds a bit like a zipper.,
it can produce vowel like sounds (see VOSIM synthesis)
and it's got that 'edge' like the sound is being catapulted from the speakers., without any distortion or anything.,., it's all comming from the properties of pulse trains.,

the good thing about doing it the way i (try to) explain is that harmonic relations are separated from pitch., you could modulate them separately.,
and i think this is what i heared in the examples.,
but not sure

anyway, getting too deep
bottom line it, these sort of sounds are small bursts of sound with regular spaces between them.,

greets..,
aka.,
