How much does a Sound Engineer earn??

im doing some research on the different profersions in this field, and this is the only forum i know which i know there is many certified(?) studio headz etc.
and im wondering. how much/little can u earn from this different profersions?

it depends on many things. But the most importand is for, or with, who are u working. If its a profesional production, than you will earn quite god money. Touring "MTV" bands is "lowhigh" level 200e/day, touring U2, depeche mode, rolling stones and few similar is one hell of a job, but u earn at least 400e/day, 100e if its day of. That kind of tours last at least 6 months, but u dont need to spend money for food(catering is amazing in profesional touring) and for sleep..Studio tratma is totaly diffrent. Absolutely depends on fact "who is mixing guy" and with who has he working before....
I do sound in the "best" club in town(concerts and partys) in central Europe, and I get araund 500e/month. If I work concert outside my price is 100e, no metter or as a "FOH guy", "monitor mix" or stage manager. In this bussines is like this, if u are good and people know that u can put a price for your self. More things u do good, more people know that and bigger is your price.

They have their business and is not a small business 
I mean to earn like that you are more a manager then a sound engineer...
Anyway is a profession you have to do if you love it, if you want a sure job or earn lots of money, don't do it...
And you need to know the shit!

If I am not mistaken OTT was/is a sound engineer and wile he was working on that he made quite some money out of it..... but I guess the best person to talk about that would be the men himself...
