Dude first of all if you got only money on your mind i think your in the wrong sene your not gonna earn money like a tiesto , its a spiritual thing also ! i think you have to earn your stripes first to . but i released also a ep and it was for free ! and i am proud on that ! i believe that in your time as a producer at the start that we can't expect that we got it right in one time !! but true promotion of yourselve and your label is importent .and after a view labels you find out what label gives you what you expect ! so i think there is to much money on your mind ! good luck and if you believe in yourselve it will comes on the right moment ! I've released two albums and a remix on Ektoplazm. A lot more people learned about the name (Disco Hooligans back then) that way. Got to travel and get some paying gigs out of free releases and its always good to give the music out for free...but people will get it for free anyway if you release on a "proper" label..which is why there is next to nothing to be made from sales.
Times have changed you either adapt, or die.
Peace out.

I got some money from releases during last 6 or 7 years, but comparing to the amount of time, efforts and work invested it is nothing.

in todays psy labels must only pay attention to promote their artist.
releases have no money in them anymore.
best deal is to promote your artist by offering bookings and get a precentage out of em.
labels should be just a promotional platform for artists.
get the music, master it, from the releases, expenses must at least be covered for mastering, artwork and print if physical. any extra cash should be a 50/50 deal but the time spent on promoting after the release should be more important thus covering artist profit and label growth.

Well...
before even think about this sort of questions, you should ask to your self the essencial:
Does it worth to people to buy the shit you produce?
honestly, do you think people would pay to hear the stuff you present on that soundcloud link?
then realize this: if, even producers that are just 1000 times better than you not only in production but also music, and are way more creative also are not making money
why are you worried about it?
is that your motivation on music making?
the only way of anyone make serious cash today is on GIG´s, and even on that is becoming a problem because the market is being flooded by "wanabe Dj" people who offer them selfs to promoters for free, droping the price of performance to ther other real DJ´s...
or you are a well known artist with enough credit to make a name from your self and ask what ever you want or is barely impossible to make serious money from it...
its not just a psytrance scene problem, its a generic electronic music situation, there is way too much people working on audio today, that doesnt mean exacly an increase of quality compared to 10 years ago, but instead of having 10 excelent producers, 5 avarage ones and 1 idiot pretending he his producer... like in 2000
today you have 100 excelent producers, 1500 avarage ones and 10000000 idiots pretending they are producers
go to soundcloud and you will notice about this reality
meanwhile, i totally recomend you to learn music and production during more 10 years before even think to make money (invest some in decent material also...)
*and dont be mad with me i only said the truth |

even if the stuff is good.. people don't pay. or at least, many of them don't.
there's not much money on psytrance market.
I get surprised with the hardstyle market. TERRIBLE tracks getting promotion, huge festivals, djs driving top cars and accessing big studios.
dutch house producers and djs flying on private jets, to gigs...
psytrance will never get mainstream. there's a lot of talent. the people that stick with psy.. do for love and dedication imo.
