how many ways do u know to promote a party?
Please stay serious and on topic, and avoid repeating what already has been listed
i know:
1)internet:
-forums
-personal websites
-email
2)fliers on paper:
-at stores
-at parties
-at club/bars
-hand by hand in the streets
3)hang wall papers:
-in the streets
-in the schools
-in bars
and what else...?

car audio (sound polution)
and car painting and personalization...
in Rio all the time you see a theme painted truck advertising for a party
flying banners? you know...rent a small airplane to fly around pulling a banner (some places i think is illegal now, like on a few beaches...)
would require a big party with a big budget tho...

i was in japan there they were giving away a c d of the dj set of the artist who was going to perform with the flier ...pretty innovative i think

that's the quandry,
how do you keep the party maintaining that underground family vibe, while trying to attract new people to come out and listen to your sound?
-The Tribe Networks and Myspace.
-Isratrance and some other internet forums.
-Email list that you would of accumulated through past events and parties.
-Flyers (where you pass out the flyers are important)
-Word of mouth
-Local electronic radio station. (maybe not have it blasted through all the normal hours, but pass it on to the radio dj that plays the music most similar to your sound, and not promote your party, but the artist you are going to bring)
-The best way is by improving your parties and events every single time. If you have a successful event in the aspect that just about everyone had fun, then people will come back for the next one and tell others.

Too much promotion is not good..
I think Sms.word of mouth and a few posters n flyers(not all over the place) are enough
Too much publicity and it'll be a party full of Narcs.
A flying banner?? Painted Customised Trucks? :S
