Hello dear isramembers!

Do you guys use only one reverb for the whole track?

Atm I use one for pads and atmos, one for lead/melodies and one for percussion. Sometimes I have one for both lead/melodies and percussion.

On pads/atmos I like to have a very looong reverb and on the other ones not as long.

How do you do this? Do you do it different every track maybe? Do you think it gets to messy using many different reverbs?

And also, do you think the reverbs included in cubase is enough or is there any special one you would recommend me to use?

Thanks!

one on the master you say? But do I really want just as long reverb on the atmos as on the percussion?

never on the master!!! keep the master channel clean!!

I use reverb whenever i feel it is required. not like a rule!!

its subjective!

I use ambience and really havent had to look out for another option

2 on fx(sends) channels(busses)

1 with long tail for deep in the background sounds like pads and some fx

and 1 with short tail for closer sounds winch can be applyed in the percussion           http://www.MindDoctorsMakeAcid.com

Depends which version of Cubase your running. If you're on 5 or 6 it has everything you need IMO (Reverence & Roomworks)

That is pretty much how I do it. Do you have them in the same settings just different length on the tail? Or do you change size and such aswell?

I have cubase 5, so then it should be enough

On individual channels as and when needed - I think if the producer can control the verb properly, this makes for a far richer and believable mix space, although having said that, I use less and less reverb as a mix tool (not including special fx) full stop.

Oh, and if you are mastering your track yourself, the merest bollock-hair of reverb can make a huge difference on the master out - if you're sending it to be mastered by someone else, than leave the master out as clean as poss.

I put my percussions in a room reverb sometimes, it giwes them a special feeling that thay are played in front of you, and other reverbs are used as effects, never on the master you will spread the stereo too much           VA - Spiritual Science out now!

usually:

one for drums

one long

one short

Long and short are for all the other tracks except drums and kick + bass, with different send amount           http://soundcloud.com/aedem
