219 at the moment, but it changes. I buy and sell.
I am on the process of minimizing though, so I think this number will not increase in the future.

About 200 Psychedelic. 10 Chill and 10 Progressive.
Love supporting the scene and Love buying great music for the artwork, pics and sound quality. The whole package.
Sometimes I buy a CD blindly from small record labels and new concepts. Many times I got wrong, but some payback as undervalued true gems.

I never threw anything anyway, how many cd's? Goa psy and chill maybe 800 to 1000? Several hardcases full... and yes, 99 percent were purchased... before there was music released there was mostly underground distribution/exchange. From that I have about 250+ two hour dats. I should dig some of that stuff out sometimes, there are treasures in there from 1985 onwards!

i think i buy around 3'000 titles (all styles, vynils, casettes, cds) during the last 20 years ...
half of it is "ambient and chilout" , 10 maybe are psy,
because i'm traveling now, i sold most of it thru friends and discogs ...
i keep about 50 classics + the casettes + some vynils ... the rest is in HD ......

I have probably 300? dunno... but I buy then rip. I've paid for pretty much all of it. I buy from Saikosounds, mainly because i can hear entire tracks of entire discs, and I don't mind rewarding ($$$) everyone in the path from creator to me.
I rip at the highest possible quality, file size is immaterial.
I haven't played a CD directly in years. |
