I really dont like the word produce!(as it makes me think of a fabric in china where they spit out plastic toys who all look the same, if not they go to the garbage)
i much prefer to say create!

And i think all people create something,
Some make jewelry with rocks, clay or what ever, or paint... or sew things
Some create VST FX and Synths (programming)
Some create visual art(with computer or with their hands on big screens)
Some Mix music together(Djs) Professionals and amateurs
Some record music, some just play instruments or play around in FL studio for fun and for personal expression(i think FL is the most used music program)

In my opinion psytrance was music by the people for the people, but nowdays its like a business where the establish artists do everything to keep their position, even sell them self´s out in all sorts of ways.. Not all of course, so dont take me wrong, but if you react you are probably a sellout

The fact that so many of us create things makes it hard to sell, and thats superb! cause i think this selling frenzy has gone to far!

I think a label for real independent artists is needed, a place where the amateur creators can release their creations, be it visual art, clay creations, music.. everything really! that would be cool
A free market! if you want to sell certain objects you can do... though it should be physical media, like a CD or a creation of jewelry or clay....

I used to attempt to produce darkpsy. I started a bunch of tracks on reason, and finished one or two over the year that I had used it. But then got frustrated and bored of it, mostly because I didn't have the time to do it while I was in college. Also, I found it hard to get a proper bassline, and have good quality psy on there..

so eventually I'd like to get cubase and begin again.

But I do listen... a lot.
