for me no matter what music I do it is hard to get rid of some dark element it is like always there.
Often it is frustrating.
Personaly,I find dark trance as a term for music rather funny than appealing.
Musicaly I'm seeking a way like a fusion between light and darkness,probably fusion is not the right descripition.With both sides in balance.

It's all about beautiful psychedelic music.
Leave this funny terminology alone...
Music need to be creative and beautiful, need to move your souls. So called "darkpsy" makes me think it's not beautiful, not what i wanna hear.
Myself, i listen to fast and so called (by someones) "dark" psytrance, but i don't like such flat terms. For me, term "darkpsy" connects to evil and chaotic music what i don't like, and i think personally is very shallow; but it can be also mentally beautiful and deeply psychedelic "dark", or whatever you name it, but it's simply great (& POSITIVE!!!) music!

Just give up man, the term's not gonna change. We've all tried to put it in everybody's head that it's not 'dark', but to no avail.
On topic:
Everybody makes 'dark', even if they don't compose music. It is embed deep withing every single person's life. There are always bad and unpleasant things that will happen. What you call 'darkpsy' is just the means to cleanse your being from the darkness, evil and stupidity of the surrounding world - to clear your mind, body and soul. It is kind of like meditation. Meditation through dance.

It's just a term to describe stylistic and technical similarities, in my opinion. Adding any sort of subjective meaning to the genre definition is kind of pointless because it's not always going to be true, even if it sounds like 'darkpsy'.
Not all music has the same meaning just because it falls into a certain genre...
but yeah this topic is really exhausted, don't get hung up on such literal translations of words...not all metal is about stabbing your neighbors and summoning satan... |

guys all this ''black metal'' stuff i think in some point kill the real psychedelic message of this music.i mean kindzadza is also dark psychedelic trance but the consept is psychedelic in every aspect..no evil monsters with screams from hell.its the consept of those dark trance of the last years that i dont like...
i also writting some dark psy but with the psychedelic consept in my mind ...
