Two or three????
I can hardly handle one to mix it as good as i can.

just once in while i may use cross/bass basslines, or even simplier, change my basssynth within the track for some time
but in both examples, there's only one main bass synth..
frequency ducking, or velocity ducking is a must too..

layering sounds!
just layer tree basses if you feel you must do that to get
the timbre you are after....
its kind of like using 3 or more oscilators to make a sound(but not really)... maybe you wont run them all in the same octave, and maybe you cant control the frequency of each seperate osc inside the synth... lets say you could, link osc1 to filter 1, link osc2 to filter 2 and so on, this would give great control..
any synth that can do this? i want it..
in psy its most common to use a saw wave or a square wave... depends on style ofcourse.... fullon is mostly used with saw and rare ocassions Fm
dont you guys look at it like this, or do you sum all osc as one sound,.... i see them as seperate... so if you use a saw a square and a sine and blend them you can say that you have 3 basses or leads.. or what ever
But you say instruments... well, i dont think its that common to use more than one synth for bass... if you do you need to Hp one very much and LP the other... anyway im tierd maybe im just talking bullshit??

I guess it is possible if you plan in advance different basslines for different sections of the track, build and eq accordingly.
I tried it a while ago and didn't manage to make it sound right, not the EQ or the sound of the other bassline, it changed the foundation of the track in a way that was too noticable/harsh to my ears.
  YEEEEES! |

Well, one thing i can say for sure is that i'm never gonna use 2 or more bass sounds playing together to form a single bassline. I have used 2 different bass sounds to form a single but they were filling each other, and still was quite difficult and sounded more like an intentional kind of dry effected bassline that served its purpose on the specific track(s).
Finding the right bass sound is already a great pre-nightmare to the one for mixing it.
And i want to sleep at nights
Hey Sly, thanx for the quote and i hope you liked(if you listened to) the tracks.

Peace brothers
Psyaudio, no one meant anything bad. Sly had an honest misunderstanding i believe. I was also confused a bit regarding who you were referring to.

i use up to 3 basses in a track , maximum 2 play together
and when i say together , its hardly ever happens that they will fit on exacly same timing
(hint , bass guitar almost not using freqs under 80hz)
