i know its different for each song, depends on moods, environment and many other stuff, but lets say for me its like 1 month of 3-4 hours DAILY work
but usually i dont work only on 1 track at the day.. its 2-3
for me, the most time takes mastering and cutting not decent places after the track is done
but of course drumline and gathering synths and sounds takes a lot of time as well

Not seriously into it, just a hobby. My ego is big enough to think I'm fairly knowledgeable in what could make a track go smoother, but it may be just me.

i use about 6 weeks on a single track,, but i allways
work at about 3-5 tracks at the same time,,
but as one earlier said i depends on the mood and enviroment,,,
even some times u can make a track in a few days,,or even in one night(i did that) IF u are in the MOOD...

aahhhh... sometimes a day to put everything into place, however I've spent 2 months working on something before. it usually takes about a week or so of fine tuning afterwards.

When I started out it took my ages to finish a track but the last 3 tracks i did only took 3 weeks. All the inspiration is gone now though so I'll need to play at a couple of gigs or party a bit. Then I'll be back with a couple of new ones.... |

hehe i always seem to go through the same cycle: write one version of a track in a day or two (maybe 12 hours total), then leave it for a few weeks, return, change bass and kick 15 times (approx) change everything else, jump around, mix it down, change bass and kick again...
The second part (when I return to the tune) is the most fun, but takes the most time for me... maybe a week or more?
eq and compression..... aaaargh! (no guesses as to what i was doing just before I posted this...
