The subwoofer really rocks. I've added it a couple of weeks ago. I now... it's sick.....
let me explain... I'm working for a company in the netherlands that sells pro audio stuff to studios..... more recently i bought part of the company. I'm very happy

Mouahaha! Your picture cracked me up! No seperate studio but a pair of Genies (1037c with the wave guide turned 90 degrees?) a Genie sub and a Tubetech multiband compressor. You've got your priorities set right. Lol!
Btw Jasper, why do you have the waveguide in that position? Wouldn't you be getting more ceiling reflection that way?

  Nocturnal Wizardz Recs
Bhooteshwara Records
Cubasing is like Freebasing, just with audio.
Both cost more than you can afford, and leaves you sitting in a dark room with no life, craving for more. |

groovemachines > hello, are that event asp8 (or asp6) monitors in there ? i`m deciding between asp8 and hr824 and bm15a. what`s the sound like ? impossible to listen to them (events) here in slovakia, so i`m very interested in what people say about them.
i need powerfull speakers for a larger accoustic treated room with clear bass definition for this price range - bm15a are much more expensive than other two ...
and hr824 are a bit on a hard/rough side ....
events are supposed to have a soft dome high drivers - i`m used with it (i have events tr8)
thank you and sorry for OT |

These are ASP8's
if you have money and a big room go for the BM15a (ACTIVE). dynaudios cannot be beaten.
but if your space is limited, like mine, go for the ASP8.
these events are VERY VERY good and pleasant to work with.. they are by no means harsh. your ears will not get tired. and the power is more than enough. I leave my the volume pot on the back at 50% and it is VERY LOUD! the bass on this thing is just .. bass. very good, detailed.
and forget about the mackies.. too hyped for my taste. some folks like it.. I don't.. they can be very deceiving...
bu beware. with this size and this kind of power you will need a good threated room with good basstraps otherwise instead of helping you they will sound very bad! you know what I mean!
good luck man. and let us know when u get them! |

Hi,
two screens offer you more space. For example you can place the mixer on one screen and the arrange window on the second etc...

OMG look at this setup or the whole studio ;- )
never seen anything better than that. Its not a psystudio. This belongs to the no1 hollywood movie soundtrack compser Hans Zimmer. I love his tunes.
