How is the TechTrance scene doing in brazil?

Pretty curious on the techtrance scene in brasil from what i gather here on isratrance it's pretty much kickin psytrance over there.
So how many parties include some techtrance and liveacts?..

...i just heard about a guy who plays techtrance in RJ called Pedrinho i think... 'really curious to listen his set.

you´re right, there´s a LOT of psytrance over here... a lot of raves... I live in a small town called Foz do Iguaçu (the city with the big waterfalls) and the psytrance scene here is growing too fast... Paranormal Attack, Rica Amaral, Xangaii, Feio, Poli (GMS), U-Men (1200mics) in a short period of time, Paranormal Attack again and Talamasca coming next month... I´m surprised with all these famous djs in my city cause it´s really small but like I said, psytrance is growing a lot fast here... in all the country
big cities like São Paulo, Curitiba, there´s big raves every weekend... skazi, paranormal, astrix, gms, psysex, infected mushroom... everything you need
not to mention the local djs with parties in my little every weekend too... it´s insane how ecstasy is selling here at the momment

i'm totally into the tech-trance/psy techno sound....
but, i'm pretty sure i'm the only one in rio and 1 of the few in the entire country....
however, i don't get 2 play these tunes very often because the ppl don't like it....it's a damn shame.. |

yeah, techtrance is not what everyone is talking about in brazil...
i´ve heard of some parties though, in brasilia and goiania but nothing really big

yeah all that was saied by the friend above its true, but what is gonna do if the psytrance(fullon) its the new HYPE (moda) with the kids in every corner of this country ??
take this eg. I also live in a small city in the northeast of our country (+/- 500.000 plp) and from dec/2004 till now the "scenne" grows under control, downhere we dont get the oportunity to see any big live act or even cool djs (besides john 00 flemming that will play next 02/07)yet. In Recife the Raves start to be more organized and they have just saw the First Stone and Burn in Noise live acts and they are preparing to see astrix and the john flemming as I said before.
To stay on topic. yes We have djs that spins TechTrance but generally they are club-based and not much know by the people that enjoys psytrance and raves. In João Pessoa capital of the State of Paraiba we have a great female dj of that style >> www.fotolog.net/djfoxxy
I could see her set last saturday and the girl rocks ! many many groundbraking tunes from Marco V  and she is pretty too and very simpatic

hi there and thanx for all your answers, and they all indicate that it's boiling in Brazil with psyparties. I also think that it indicates that techtrance is getting a small hold there aswell since you all know somebody whos spins it, allthough not at the psy-parties, i think in the end there will be some more dj's play techtrance...

hey dopamin.....
imo the techtrance / psytechno scene in brazil is very very little yet....... i know some people that truly like this kind of music, but know almost nobody who play or organize psytechno parties...... i can tell you that the only djs i know in são paulo that play that kind of music are setherian (but his sets r not only psytechno) and raphael C4 (dunno if this guy is playing yet cause it's been some time since the last time i heard about him)...... a party was set up to happen in past february with spirallianz and midimiliz but, unfortunately, it was cancelled.... imo the main problem, as anyone said, is that most of the people here in brazil prefer ears-easier music like some morning full-on projects that all of us know....... psytechno is a kind of music that, like proggressive psy, many people have to listen to it many more than just one time to accept and understand the style....... i tell that because i had got that way, used to hear some psytechno but didn't really like many songs, and since the last year i really got interested in listening and knowing many more about the music played by artists like spirallianz, midimiliz or pps project. imo this style will get many more ears because i see more people being interested as i am...... maybe what's missing is the organization of a night dedicated only to this style....... if i had time and money to do that i certainly could do but for a person that works and studies a lot this is really difficult..... but i certainly would support this idea, because i think that psy scene needs something different but with the same psychedelic purpose, that in this case would create a different concept of psy scene, not just full-on parties that simply forgot the meaning of the word psychedelic (imo that's what's happening with NOT ALL but many parties here)....... a good thing that would be done is the psytechno label owners stay in touch with brazilian cd and vinyl distributors and bring some material to be sold here....... it really would help psytechno to being more known, and people would get more interested in playing and organizing psytechno parties here.
