How is the masterisation in this track?

Hello guys, I was working on a song, and I asked my friend if he could master it for me, but he is a house producer, so I dont know if the tricks while mastering a track, are very diferent from one style to another, so I was just wondering how do you hear this master? is it good? is it bad? what is missing? any thoughts?

Hi mate,

Jesus, my ear almost bled, it seems that your friend just cranked up the highs all the way up, I mean, really up.

Reduce the highs and I think it would be fine.

Well, I don't think the mix is that bad. Yeah, there are too much highs and the bass lacks some power, but other than that, I think it's alright.
On the other hand, the track is really not my style. Way too happy and kind of overloaded. But that's a matter of taste, I guess.

Mastering is not bad but the track is way to similar to the original,imo...
