How install VSTIs correctly in Logic!

Hi guys, A friend asked me about VSTI installation in Logic few days ago. So, I answer to him how I know to do, but he still having problems, so, I think that we could change some ideas or methods to do this job.
That´s my way:
I usually take my VSTI´s in .RAR archives, then I open them in Winrar and send them to this address: Program Files-> Logic Audio -> VST Plugins and then, inside this folder I give a double click on the .exe or .dll archive, the setup basically. So, I never had problems with them, except one or two crashed files.

I usually don't unrar the setup files into the Logic Folder. I will install all vsts into the Logic folder but other than that I do pretty much the same thing. I haven't had too many issues.
 An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines. |

hi well you dont need to put the rar files in the logic folder, just go extract the rar files into any folder and then open the exe files. now all the plug ins i know which have a exe file usually asks you to set a location to where you want it installed, this is when you set it to Logic Audio -> VST Plugins folder. and then load logic shouldnt beany problem. there are some plugins that come as dll files, these ones you can just put straight in that folder.
