I tend to use synths that have multiple voices (like PoM says) and hard pan them. (Unless the synth already pans them for you).

thanks for all ya advice, really helped, i tried usin to patches (the same) one on left the other on right, both channels have the seperate fx busses in stereo reverbs n stuff, sound alot more what i wuz after nice geezas!
