hey dude...
there are no "good" headphones for music production\creation ....
headphones used to check "paning" or playing in party's or at home if your perents dont permit loud music.

but... if you still wish to produce\create music whit headphones so i recomend you to check the "SENNHEISER HD-25"
shore not that cheep one on your link they are verry lame headphones and you will regret byeing them for shore.

bom on you and good luck amigo.           "fuck money..."

Well the frequency response is nothing spectacular most pro one's go down to 5hz..

If you want to get really good one's that you could use for production check out the following:

Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro
http://www.guitarcenter.com/shop/product/buy_beyerdynamic_dt_770_pro80_closed_studio_headphones?full_sku=102512019&src=4SOSWXXA

Audiotechnica ATH-A900
http://www.audiocubes.com/category/Headphones,+Earphones_Audiophile,+Hifi/product/Audio-Technica_ATH-A900_Art_Headphones.html

These are the only two that have got quite a good bass response..

The Sony MDR 7506 are good but they're hyped with a smiley eq..           http://www.soundcloud.com/getafixmusic

Yeah i no you can't mix on your headphones but still its good to use them to reference your mixes..Sometimes you can spot stuff with good headhpones that you won't be able to with your monitors since they go down much lower..           http://www.soundcloud.com/getafixmusic

Well , First of all .. With my magic flat monitor i can do everything , Thats to make the point clearly

Now .. For the mix , Who say you cant mix with an headphones ? Mix the other things , But never touch the bass area , Leave that operation act to the monitors (Always) .

Can agree with y that it can be sound differents (Haha .. Thats for sure man) And i will tell y in here 1 of my little secrets . I hate all those producing headphones (and as my friend villi E.L was wrote in here i belive the same that good headphones exist for an 2 things NEIGHBORS and Dj'ing , Thats all . Nothing els) .

Many time after i finish produce a new part in my monitors i liket listen to with my dj headphones (RP-DJ1200 By TECHNICS) Then i can get those feeling of what gonna be at the turbos and how other peoples will hear it , This act (for me) showing me all with an live tunes and sounds , Then i go back to the monitors and fix wherever i need (Mean in the volume or what ever , What it need at this time) .

1 more story to understand the all thing more deeper and then you are all free ..

Ok ..
I work with someone in my new project (Interior Torture) And we got the same computers + The same sound cards (Each 1 with his own studio) But i have an monitors (For produce) and he got an normal simple cheap home stereo ones , So he using a Sennheiser headphones (Very good and expensive ones but still headphones) We working only here on music , guess why .. ? Cause here u can hear what you are doing . It will never be the same . I can hear it clearly in the sound , This is why .

So for all those producers that wants to waste they money on that ..

1 . Give me that money (Ill find what to do with for sure)
2 . Buy D.j one But pls .. A good 1 .

Happy morning .. ! . Yoko

I'd love to get out of this apartment studio

anyway e-motion..
what you need for production are studio headphones, not DJ headphones..do some research and look in online shops, I don't know what to reccommend because, as was said in the thread..it isn't a good thing to do your final mix on headphones..

good luck

i totally agree with ya there man ,,, headphones dont hv the necessary bass response ,,, so u DEFINETLY need monitors for tht ,, but i think in the initial stages u can refer to good headphones man ,,, after all ur making electonic muzik
but for final mixing u will need monitors for sure to tell u what ur mix actually sounds like
may i suggest two reference headphones ,,,
the AKG 701 and THE sennheiser hd650
brilliant headphones for mixing ,

u buy them and u wont be sorry !!

those heaphones tht u got in the link r shitty headphones ,,, made by the musicstore company themselves
hope tht helped

@Cardinals -
He asked about DJ headphones, the headphones in the link are supposedly "DJ" headphones..
I'm saying you can't use headphones for everything..your mix will sound more accurate in monitors..
I have no idea what you're talking about but no, I haven't read anything wrong here..

I would personally reccomend Sure as a good brand for earphones, the e3c's have great clarity and bass, and are great even in noisey environments.

http://www.shurestore.com/earphones/eseries_e3c.html

Ive got a pair and they're as good as my Tannoy Revolution R3's/Arcam setup.

Although the link doesn't even work anymore, he posted a link for "DJ" headphones. That was what I was referring to.

The LEAST BAD solution for you might be the Sennheiser 650 HD, true, they are only headphones, however expensive they are, you might find them suitable for on the fly stuff when you are with laptop and don't have monitors handy... I would always check the mix and eq settings with monitors later.           Upavas - Here And Now (Sangoma Rec.) new EP out Oct.29th, get it here:
