I really love the tone of Lamats bass!
it has a gorgeous woody quality and sounds really rubbery when notes are shifted up octaves

What is he using?! its featured on almost all of Lamats old songs and FFT songs

hope someone knows thanks!:)

i think vb-1 should RIP. It has done its fair share on almost every track made from 2000something up till 2008           For Contact & Bookings:

try to play with phase and different waveforms . filter envelopes and resonance.
it sounds to me like 2 saws with about 42%phase offset and a little bit of pulse.

Definetly sounds like VB-1 to me.
With Multi-Band Compression on the bass.

Create a Kick+Bass Group track (where you route both the bass and Kick).
On this group track, cut any frequencies below 25hz, and boost to +3.5db the frequencies between 75hz and 160hz.

It will really give punch to your kick-bass combo.

then also the usual sidechain etc..

I almost never boost anything on the bass or kick. If you need that load of low boost probably there is something wrong with your synth patch, control or mix.

Vb1 and some quadrafuzz! boost a little with eq arround 60 hrtz, and take some off around 250hrtz if its buffing to much.
