How do you want to die?

I’ve been thinking for a couple weeks now and finally decided to construct a new topic. Where many times we may never have a part in the way things unfold I think that to some extent, and an extent to be discussed, we have a role in how we will die. I also think that our classical notions of the unpredictability of life’s end leave the average individual feeling that they will only ever be waiting for death. Some may find this feeling unsettling and choose not to think about their deaths much at all. I think if we acknowledge our ability to influence this and other similar outcomes our potential to do as we choose may allow us to lead happier lives. Many who become sick of waiting in line will leave but you cannot escape death. You can’t just walk away. Instead I wait for no one and will have a hand in determining how I will die.
Void of any spirituality, kind of ‘influence the future’ grey area, I think that the decisions we make on a daily basis give rise to any number of possible end points in our lives. Example: today, walking home late from work, I decided to cross a 4 lane highway without waiting for the little green man to flash on. Some angry driver in a passing car on the intersecting street called me a ‘fucking idiot’ and I just sort of continued on. This decision might not have been the best of my life. However, if I wanted to die at the hands of a total stranger who might also have called me a fucking idiot on my concrete death bed, then continuing to engage in impatient intersection behaviours increases the probability that I’ll get killed by some random car. It is this logic that I intend to instantiate to give rise to the series of events that will result in my own death in the hope that I die by some desired means.
Now, many right minded individuals will be thinking that we should be doing everything we can to reduce the probability of death in order to live as long as we can and I say to you out right that you speak only for yourselves. Some people may, upon extensive reflection, come to the conclusion that dying young is actually more desirable. I haven’t yet decided how I want to die… but if I want to be old and wrinkly then perhaps I’ll need to act adaptively until then. For now, let’s not pick sides…
So, what’s initially important for this discussion? Foremost, I think we need to consider that these daily choices provide us with the opportunity to die by the desired means. This line of thinking may seem counter to everything that one might consider to be an opportunity but I think that if dying is going to be the last thing I ever do then I want to go out on my own terms (or at least to some degree). Probability is also an important notion to keep in mind. Ones actions can only increase the chances that one will die by the desired means. Also, it is important that one not be disappointed (given that they have time to be disappointed) if they wind up dying by some other means because as much as the original plan may have fallen apart I don’t know anyone who wants to die feeling disappointed with themselves. Lastly and most importantly, one must find an answer to the question: How do I want to die? And to be smart one might want to find several possible ‘best case scenarios’ provided that they do not interact and result in some undesirable death… If this doesn’t seem ridiculous I’m actually interested to hear some feedback.

I would love to die when I was born.
Now thats too late, now I just want to live.
But, to be real - I would prefer dying along with the universe, see it all collapse in on itself. No worries about sticking anyone with a nasty funeral bill either.

I wanna die very.... happy..  And naked, in bed with 4 or more beautiful women of various hair and skin tones. With gold dust filtering over us, and an orchestra playing Vivaldi, right next to the bed, a flock of very soft birds flying around brushing into us, and a bunch of various soft little animals running all over the place, and many giant screens playing the best parts of all my favorite movies.
If I cant have any of that, I at least want to die awake.
If we dont come to terms with death, if we avoid it all our lives, we deny a basic part of what life is! Life and death are intertwined. We all have to accept that we all will one day die.
