How do you remove unwanted programs from the ''open with'' menu?

Hey,
Ummm just wonderin what the reg-hack is to remove unwanted programs from the open with selection thingy when i right click on a .wav in windows xp.
any tips? can this even be done? ie for example i don't want things like windows movie maker in that menu or stuff i accidently clicked on, because it distracts from the rest of the usefull programs. know what i mean?
