How do you make those pauses (breaks) in psytrance when all music mutes at once and shuts down all music and effects trails....
what's the best way to do this? |

Render your final mix as audio and then edit in total silence? Or some variation on that, I would imagine. |

You can automate the master channel with volume aswell.

Change from break to break and track to track , Also by feeling , Can be Hard break or soft , Long or short .. Its all about what you want to do or get , Every thing can be in . Theres is no spaciel secrets for this , Listen more to music so you will hear and understand what going on in there . I think 70-80% of the breaks in tracks (Maybe more) is Atmose , Perc' Here and there , Mello pad , Few hh or loop 1-2-3 Kiks in . I think what that realy important in a break is that from this point all is change , All is new .. And from here you can built up and challenge yourself with an new sounds , Drive , New rhythm and tune , But man .. There is no any secrets for .. Its you and your deeply feeling ..

Just bounce the last pattern(s) of the audio tracks u want muted as one, then add the bounced audio file, slice it to the leight u want it in and then there will be instant silence. =) For me thats the best way. Couse then you are also free to put whatever u want there; as a couple of notes of the new lead melodie, fx sound, kicks, loop, snares or whatever.

If you automate the mute button it doesn't mutes all the effects also? so the onlu option is to bounce to audio and edit? |

If you want the effects still running to their end (e.g. reverb or long delay) you only mute the input signal of the effects (e.g. the synth or sampler). If you want no sound at all you can mute the main out bus in the mixer.
