I think it's always a good idea to finish your set with a sort of average track, giving the next DJ an opportunity to bring new energy to the dancefloor. |

I Like my set to start off with some nice digging nightish tech-trance tunes and some proggressive. by the crack of dawn I like it when the more fluffy, airy prog kicks in, and at sunrize i'd give anything for the right fullon tracks. by the end i like it down-tempoish and some chill

it really depends when your set is.
most of all i like my set to start in the middle of the night(around 2-3) and finish when it gets bright in the morning(around 6). in that case i'd start with a bit slower tempo(140/142) night tracks which have nice developement and drive and slowly progressing into fast wicked melancholic dark psichadelic trance and keep it like that for a while and than slowly start changing in to more happy tracks which would lead to a warm fast and melodic psychadelics in the morning(some more scando music would do that for me) so that i'll finish my set(when the sun rises or before) with crazy intensively psichadelic melodic stuff. and for this part i ussually play some older goa tunes or something in the stile of vibraspirit 23 tracks...
that is the killer set for me!
i also like night-only sets with fast dark, twisted metalic psychadelic music all tha way.

Generally I like sets that progress on many different levels, like... bpm increases throughout the set, but the amount of emotional depth, the power, and the grooves of the set each changes from track to track in a wavey pattern up to a point near the end of the set where everything is at it's peak. The set has to change all the time, nothing static, the change is always there. It can be done in any style, but generally the more minimal the music the more the DJ pays attention to the details of the story behind the music.
Any style that works, I'll listen to.

start with minimal eminence n then up up.. till the moments of "Shikaron Hushim"(Senses Intoxication..) n the music get better n better, gettin more n more emothional n cosmic, up to the morning little hours tiill the apex at last of the event, n then comes the shorter relaxation..
ovcourse the minimal level for me itz reall highr for others' ;_)

realy depends.... on one hand i love a groovy set that evolves .... on the pther hand i like killer sets which might start a bit slow and bulid up till it gets to a killer stage and from then on it stays that way.
best set i heard was like a 3 hour track.... it sounded like one long piece of mindblowing music... what a memory , big smile.....
p.s
i think u sets shoud end with a bang.... something that leaves an impression... a wow, a what?? or a what the f**k ....
if u dig deep enough u just might reach the sky...

I mix progressive shit for half hour to prepare the crowd to the real music "psychedelic Goa trance" (full on) and then non stop FULL ON !
I prefer FULL adrenalin all the set ,all the time!
minimal is not music to play in parties !
what if everyone of us will think positive about peace ?
