Hi there fellow sonic alchemists!
Im trying my best to recreate sounds I like. Since Im fairly new to this game I have some challenges when doing this. The sounds I like are often very processed with effects and dynamic processors.

Do any of you have a certain method that you follow when you are recreating sounds? Im starting to get to grips with the various basic waveforms and the filters(i think!), but its hard when maybe more than one filter is used and so on. Also, is there a way to identify what effects are used? Up untill now Ive used my ears to the best of my ability and it gets me a long way, but, as i said, my lack of knowledge and experience is making it hard for me.

Im not trying to find an easy way out of the trial and error, but it would be great to have some pointers when doing this work.

like you say, using the ears and analysing the sound(s)

i dont think there is another way.... its trail and error and experience.... im not too much of a recreator but if i stumble up on something i would like to recreate i do my best and there are lots of ways of doing things.... most important dont get stuck with one tool, maybe you hear that the sound contains many timbres, so you start with what you recognize and go from there...
