this may be kinda confusing but here goes. Ok so its a sound that sounds like you have a sample that does not change in pitch, but the sample repeats itself faster and faster till becoming a glitchy buzz. I know I hear it alot and thought I heard it in some of your set. ok say its a sample of some guy saying yummy sandwich i would be like this. this is an awful depiction of what it would be like from slowest rate to highest. I feel like there is just a special plugin or something for this but nobody knows what im talking about. (ZZZZZZZ=glitchy buzzing)
yummy sandwhich--------yummy sandwhic------yummy sandwh-----yummy sand---- yummy sa----yummy---yum--yum--yu-yu-yu-yyyyZZZZZZZZZZZZyyyy-yu-yu-yu--yum--yum--yummy----yummy sa-----yummy sand-----yummy sandwh-------yummy sandwhic---------yummy sandwhich.

Can anyone tell us how exactly you do that with dblue glitch? I've played with it alot and can't exactly get what i want out of it, seems very hard to control for some reason.
I've wanted to know how to do this forever and I've read alot of threads about it but no one ever says the technique .
I've resorted to just cutting up audio + pitch bend..but doesn't work too well imo... |

If you want really precise control, I'd go with the Reaktor/Kontakt option.
Of the people that I know that use Glitch, they do it kind of experimentally, that is throwing a bunch of random stuff into it and bouncing a really long audio part and just picking and choosing choice bits. There probably is a more deliberate method, but I don't know enough to help on that front.
And learning the Reaktor or Kontakt way will probably be more useful in the long run, Glitch is really cool, but it's also kind of a fad that's getting overdone and easily recognizable.

There IS a plugin designed specifically to do this job, and it makes it 20x easier....
http://www.instajungle.com/
its a freebie and one that gets used on my comp nearly everyday.
Basically you press a button and whatever audio just passed thu it gets repeated every bar, then you have another button that changes the length of the repeat, i.e. every half bar, every 1/4 bar and so on until it becomes total fuzzzzzz
so yeah Facehead, if you put this plugin over your yummy samwidch sample you could have the effect your after in about 10 seconds...
I hope this helps some people
all the dude ever wanted... was his rug back...

The more deliberate method is to visualise the series of processes you want to apply to your audio, and program Glitch to make the noises you want! It's a little time-consuming and you need to concentrate hard not to be distracted by the noises it makes when it's not quite how you want it, but it's really satisfying when it comes off.

I do it also manually. Cutting and "fxing" the samples...
But as everybody is shooting another methods, nobody mentioned here Ableton Live "Beat Repeat" plug. Very easy to understand and use.

battery and abletons simpler can also do this
the concept is pretty simple actually, you are just setting the sample to repeat, and then changing, the end time and or start time, to close and open the loop
when the loop is really short, it makes a kind of buzzing sound - also great for perc rolls and builds
Gamma Riders EP out now on iTunes and Amazon.com!
