man,

this effect is made by using a lfo, changing its amount and its rate. The original sound is really simple like a long sustain square wave or maybe triangle. THe issue is to xontrol the lfo over the original sound. Maybe its out of sync, so you can tweak the rate as you wish....           Ess765 (aka Physical Absence)

Sounds like the glitch to me or maybe buffer overide, both are free plugins, the sound itself is probably a triangle wave and it's sustain is relatively high, while it's release seems short. The attack is pretty short as well...
note that a reverb was put over the sound, probably after either effect above... this could have also been done with a very fast automated delay.

it isn't a glitch . It's a note progression.           -------------------------------------------------

I'm quite sure this is done with the bounced audio. It could be something like Glitch but it could also be done by hand by coppy pasting the chopped up audio.

to me this sounds like the retrigger function of glitch with automated speed change knob going first up and then down...either he put little bit of passthru at the beginning of the notes, but I dont know if this could sound like that...or I think he processed each part alone, bunced and dropped the finished audio together

hope that helped
